Failure To Use An Integrated Roofing System Can Be A Major Source Of Roof Leaks.

Shingles alone are sometimes not enough to protect your home. So IKO developed a multilayered residential roofing system to better protect your home. Industry-leading roofing materials such as deck protectorssynthetic underlaymentsroof starters, and capping shingles make your roof last longer, so you and your valuables feel safer inside.

Just like IKO Shingles, IKO’s vertical integration offers a higher level of quality assurance by controlling the creation of nearly all roof accessories.

Deck Protection

Water is a home’s greatest enemy. Roofing shingles are the first line of defence but Ice & Water Protectors and IKO GoldSeamTM Tape provide crucial, added protection. Because IKO is a vertically integrated manufacturer, it maintains strict quality control over the materials that go into its ArmourGardTM, GoldShieldTM, IKO StormShield® Ice & Water products and its IKO GoldSeam Tape. These membranes are part of IKO’s PROFORMAXTM Integrated Roofing Accessories for total weather protection and peace of mind.

Synthetic Underlayment

One of the key components of a properly installed asphalt shingle roofing system is a secondary protective layer of underlayment.  IKO Synthetic Underlayments are perfectly suited for use with all IKO shingle products.  Choose either of IKO’s synthetic underlayment products to give your roof that secondary layer of protection, and give yourself complete peace of mind.

Roof Starters

The lower edge of any roof is one of the most critical areas for overall roof performance and wind resistance. To get the best performance from your IKO roof, and to ensure your roof system is installed in compliance with one of the requirements for the high wind resistance limited warranty protection, start your roof installation with one of IKO’s premium roof starters. Installed below the first row of shingles, and along roof rake edges, roof starters literally get your roof started in the right direction.

Cap Shingles

Almost every steep sloped roof will have a ridge at the top of the roof where different sides of the roof meet. Many roof designs also have sloped ridges (hips) where roof planes meet an angle. Ridge cap shingles are used in these locations to provide a complete watershedding system starting right where raindrops first meet your shingles. The use of IKO Cap Shingles or an IKO approved equivalent is required to meet the terms of the IKO Limited Warranty.

Insulation

IKO Ener-Air® and IKO Enerfoil® are non-structural sheathing rigid polyisocyanurate insulation boards, engineered to provide improved thermal resistance. Both are HCFC-free.

Low Slope

Low-slope roofs present special challenges in terms of preventing unique types of damage. IKO Roof-Fast Low-slope Roofing Components are engineered and manufactured to meet those particular challenges.
