BRAMPTON, Ontario — February 1, 2023. IKO, a global leader in roofing and waterproofing, has announced the launch of their new products for the below-grade waterproofing market. The technology is supported by IKO’s long-term dedication to research and innovation in resources for the Canadian building envelope commercial markets.
Products include AquaBarrier™ BSW – H, blindside waterproofing for horizontal under-slab applications, and AquaBarrier BSW – V, blindside waterproofing for vertical applications. Both are SBS modified sheet membranes designed to provide dependable primary waterproofing in below-grade commercial installations. These new offerings from IKO provide excellent performance for foundations with urban space constraints, below-grade and other critical areas where waterproofing is required. They are resistant to hydrostatic pressure and lateral water migration, critical performance factors.
According to Adam Gotfraind, Canadian commercial product manager, product availability would be supported by full technical assistance for all Canadian IKO Approved Applicator Program (IAAP) contractors and designers. “Our team is ready to assist you with any questions concerning the new product rollout,” he said. “This is just another example of why building industry professionals can specify IKO with confidence,” Gotfraind added.
